The inspiration for this Making Meaning project was the documentary Fast, Cheap, and Out of Control, directed by Errol Morris. For the first phase of the assignment, we simply had to analyze any particular formal element of the film. I chose to map each moment in the film when one of the subject's narratives overlapped with a different subject's visuals.
Delving further into this concept, I contrasted theories of evolution with the evolution of a particular human being and their relation to the world around them. I printed evolutionary biology illustrations on transparent paper, which, when placed on top of film stills, creates an interesting juxtaposition.

The cards are housed in a lipped clamshell box.
